A story of missing my washing machine…. And water…

So, here is how the story goes for clothes washing. We brought space saver bags in our luggage. We have used duct tape to secure one of the bags completely… we fill it with water, add soap…. Spin cycle (Our hands in circular motion to mix the water and soap), add clothes (only a couple of things at a time), next spin cycle (with our hands and then close bag and shake like crazy!). Then, we remove clothes from bag… and rinse under the muddy water in the shower, and hang up on the hot water heater pipes (helps them to dry faster). It’s craziness, but we refuse to pay the hotel $4 to wash a pair of jeans. Anyway… fun times…
Please continue to pray for the same situation as requested the other day… we still don’t have clarification if court will be as scheduled or not… We’ll keep you posted…
Love you all!
Steph, Brad, and Alia

Sounds like fun, yeah $4 is a rip! Just a suggestion, but to dry them did you consider spinning around in circles? If so, please post video! We'll continue praying for the court date.

Do they have public laundromats over there? Seems like you should be able to get all your laundry done for $4...You guys holding up ok? Finding enough to eat? How's Alia? Eagerly awaiting the next installment (where you tell us things are back on track) and praying...

I feel for you on the laundry thing. Before I bought my first washer and dryer, one of the best purchases I made in my life, just running back and forth to the laundromat was a pain.

Praying all goes well.

That sounds like a lot of fun. It's what people had to do before washers and dryers were made. How are you guys doing? Can not wait to see Alia at home with you guys. We are praying for you guys that everything goes good for you guys.

that reminds me of apartment number 2!! (the one you visited us in)
I remember how our shower was always muddy too... eeew!! And I still to this day have dingy (sp?) whites!!! I cannot get those clothes white again for anything!! When they get into the wash now, I just smile with a bit of fondness about that washer and the Shymkenty accommodations! lol

Congratulations on court finally going ok and Alia being yours!!!! So is it safe to say that clothes aren't so smelly good right now...muddy water huh...well, I guess it's better than nothing. This has to make you appreciate your washer and dryer more.
Stay Safe and can't wait to see you 3,

I think you need to take a video of this washing process so we get the full effect.
